We have decided to try to go to more of the state parks and local fun places around orlando with the kids. This saturday we went to Homosassa state park about an hour and half north west of orlando. It is a amazing state park around a spring that feeds into a river. They have all sorts of animals throughout the park and educational presentations. Everyone had a great time.No florida state park would be compleet without plenty of aligators.

This hippopotamus seemed very lonely in his little pond.

The manatee are in the spring around an observatory. You can see them from above and below the water.
The park ranger does a presentation and then gets in the water and feeds the manatee lettauce and carrots.

About the time of my junior year in high school up untill four years ago, aprox 10 years, I have always had something go wrong on the fourth of july that always seemed to ruin the holiday for me....that is untill 2005 when my pincess JADIN NATALI YOUNG was born! We went to Disney, watched Ice Age Dawn of the Dinasour, and went to down town Orlando to watch the fireworks. I wish I still had birthdays like that! Happy 4th Birthday JADIN!

I have decided that I don't really like all the facebook, myspace sharing sites and trying to keep up with email is too time consuming. I enjoy visiting my sibilings blogs and getting occasional updates on their families. Since we are all so far apart and only get to go home to Nevada once a year, if we are lucky, and phone calls don't exactly happen evey day. I hope all of you enjoy the photos if nothing else and that I can keep you updated so we don't have those phone conversations of, "oh i didn't hear about that" or "I had no idea!" can hopefully be avoided.
